The Ontario Special Investigations Unit has released some information on an altercation in Sioux Lookout.
The SIU says preliminary information from the OPP suggests that around 5 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, a 44-year-old man was arrested and taken to the OPP Detachment.
The man was placed in a cell and sometime that night he suffered a serious head injury.
He was transported to hospital for treatment.
The OPP has stated that two males were involved in an altercation.
The SIU has assigned two investigators to examine the circumstance of the incident.
