A familiar face is back as the Liberal candidate for Kenora-Rainy River in the next provincial election.
Anthony Leek, who also ran in the 2011 election, was acclaimed as the riding’s candidate yesterday.
Leek says the local Association is in a better position to take the riding.
He says membership is up 50% and the donor base and the executive board have both been strengthened.
Leek feels the riding needs a member that can work with others in finding a solution than just pointing fingers.
Leek finished a distant third in voting in the last election, but he stresses that the party is better prepared now.
