Legal Win For Local Gunsmith

Dryden gunsmith Bob MacGillivray has had charges of possession of prohibited weapons discharged by a court Justice in Brandon, Manitoba.
MacGillivray claimed he wasn’t aware that the spring-loaded knives he sold to an under cover police officer were prohibited in Canada.
The 74-year-old was arrested three years ago at a Gun Show in Brandon.
Property seized from his gunsmith operation at home and other items will be returned to MacGillivray.
He is still prohibited from having guns and other weapons for 10-years.
MacGillivray pleaded guilty to one count of storage of firearms in a careless manner last November in Dryden Court.
10-other weapons charges were dropped by the Crown at that time and MacGillivray received a conditional discharge.
