Not a great start in Ontario for the legalization of recreational marijuana.
A huge demand for cannabis on the first day saw an immediate shortage and deliveries taking up to five business days.
As a result, the provincial government is receiving an earful.
According to Ontario’s Ombudsman, their office has received plenty of complaints about the delivery backlog.
Issues range from no one answering the 1-888 number, receiving an out of service message and leaving e-mails unanswered.
For now, the Ontario Cannabis Store has a disclaimer on its website cautioning delays due to high demand and the workers’ strike at Canada Post.
