A new economic study has found some merits to the idea of Northwestern
Ontario joining Manitoba.
But the authors of the report says the political clout would likely be
greater than any economic gains.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says alienation has been rising
in the Region because of a sharp economic downturn in key sectors like
forestry.
