LHIN 3-Year Plan

A short-term plan to improve the local health care system has been
developed by the Northwest Local Health Integration Network.
The availablity of services, aboriginal health and maintaining
long-term care and mental health services were identified as top priorities.
Chair John Whitfield says the goal is to build on our strengths and provide
better care for everyone, as close to home as possible.
Whitfield says Northerners have higher than average rates of chronic
disease, diabetes, heart disease and mortality rates.
