It appears the Provincial Government is poised to pass the
controversial Local Health Integration Network Legislation Tuesday night.
Union Officials and some MPP’s have indicated the Bill will be
fast-tracked.
Concern has been raised that the Networks will compromise the quality
of health care and make it more difficult for Northerners to access
already scarce services.
Unions claim the LHINS will relocate health services to a major
centre which will lead to an outflow of several procedures from Dryden and
local hospitals.
