The Liberal candidate in the Kenora riding is promising a more transparent government if the grits are elected in the upcoming Federal election.
Bob Nault is out promoting his parties plan for a Fair and Open Government, giving Canadians more of a voice in Ottawa.
Nault says they will take steps to improve access to information and government decisions.
He adds the Liberal plan calls for more open and fair elections and revamping the Canada Revenue Agency.
Nault says they want to ensure every vote counts and explore the idea of mandatory or on-line voting.
The former Minister of Indian Affairs says northerners know that during the Harper decade, the Conservatives have damaged our political system.
Meantime, Nault says his government will give scientists more freedom and allow them to speak their minds.
Nault says they should be advising the government on what they are doing right or wrong and providing details of their reports.
He stresses the Conservative government has muzzled scientists.
