Liberal Candidate Upset

One of the candidates seeking the Liberal nomination in the Kenora Riding is not happy with the process.

A nomination meeting is scheduled for March 13th in Dryden but Kenora Lawyer Bev Wexler says having the vote in a central location isn’t practical in such a large riding.

She believes it will be difficult for all party members to cast their ballot.

Wexler is also concerned that the deadline for signing up party members is the end of the week which doesn’t give candidates much time to recruit.

Former Dryden Mayor Roger Valley and Ontario Regional Chief Charles Fox are also vying for the nomination.

Valley held a membership drive in Dryden on Monday and had a favorable turnout.

Fox has been visiting First Nation communities.
