Michael Ignatieff says the Federal Government needs to do a better
job in investing in Northern Ontario and protecting local communities.
The Liberal Leadership Candidate stopped in Dryden Thursday to meet
with party faithful.
Ignatieff says Regional economic development initiatives and FedNor
will play a instrumental role in the survival of the Region.
He says the Government would be foolish to focus all of its attention on
the larger centres.
Ignatieff also addressed aboriginal concerns and the forestry crisis.
Kenora MP Roger Valley is endorsing Ignatieff as his choice for the
party’s next leader, stating he will listen and act on Northern concerns.
