Now that Premier Doug Ford has officially killed the Cap and Trade program, a Liberal MPP is wondering what will replace it.
Thunder Bay-Superior North’s Michael Gravelle hopes the Green Ontario program is properly wound down.
Gravelle is asking the PC’s to extend the time to allow existing contracts to be carried out.
The program allowed for home energy retrofits.
The government has said that it will honour any existing contracts.
Gravelle is also reacting to a government decision to eliminate free prescriptions for young people who have private health insurance.
Gravelle is hoping that this isn’t the beginning of the erosion of health care services in Ontario.
