Big changes for the provincial Liberals in the 2018 election.
Bill Mauro has lost his seat in Thunder Bay-Atikokan, falling to Judith Monteith-Farrell in a race that went back and forth throughout the evening.
Mauro was the Minister of Municipal Affairs under the Wynne government.
Michael Gravelle held on to his seat in Thunder Bay-Superior North.
The political veteran was the Minister of Northern Development and Mines and held off advances from Lise Vaugeois of the NDP.
Meantime, Kathleen Wynne has announced that she is stepping down as party leader, calling for an immediate search for an interim leader.
The Liberals are also left waiting to see if they will hold on to official party status.
There hopes lie with Doug Lawrance in the Kiiwetinoong riding.
A win for the Sioux Lookout Mayor will meet the threshold needed to keep official status for the Grits.
