The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
After month’s of lobbying from Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP Ken Boshcoff and Kenora MP Roger Valley, the Government has decided to launch an intensive study on the state of the forest industry.
Valley says the study will top the agenda next month when the Federal Standing Committee on Natural Resources meets.
Valley says the goal is to develop a market-based action plan to help the forestry sector and struggling communities.
6-meetings have been set aside in Ottawa and Valley hopes to include local stakeholders in talks.
