Dave Penney Re-Elected School Board Chair

Trustees with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have selected
Dave Penney to sit in the Chair’s seat for a third straight term.
The Ignace Trustee says the Board has become a leader in collecting
data to help individual students and that will continue into the new year.
Penny says they will continue to concentrate on improving literacy and numeracy skills as well as improving Grade 10 test scores.
Penny notes he’s excited to implement full day JK and SK that the
Province has promised to fund.
He adds one of the biggest challenges will be making a decision on
the future of Wabigoon, Riverview and Pinewood Schools.
Kenora Trustee Cecile Marcino has been re-elected as Vice-Chair.
