Quick and decisive work by Ministry of Natural Resources and Dryden
Fire crews helped save a group of homes in a subdivision on Wabigoon Lake.
The MNR spotted the wildfire in the bush Wednesday afternoon.
2-water bombers, 2-helicopter crews and ground teams kept the blaze
within 300-meteres of homes in the Inverness Drive and Islandview Road area.
The Dryden Fire Service responded with 26-firefighters and 7 units and
spent 3-hours mopping up the fire.
The cause of the blaze is believed to be lightning.
