Two local artists are being asked to help shape the future look of the new Thunder Bay Art Gallery.
25 individuals, including Red Lake’s Cheryl Wilson Smith and Dryden’s Michelle Coslette Goodman, have been asked to create new works based on Lake Superior.
Gallery Spokesperson Nadia Kurd says they have received $375,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts to commission the work.
Kurd says the artwork is then going to become part of the collection and first exhibition at the new waterfront gallery when it opens in 2019-2020.
