Local Business Owners Will Be Paying More

Ontario is now tied for the highest minimum wage in Canada.
The wage has been increased .75 cents to $11 dollars an hour.
That is the same as Nunavut Territory.
With the increase the government also promised to keep it on pace with the cost of living every year using the Consumer Price Index.
The changes take effect June 1st.
The last minimum wage hike in Ontario was in 2010.
