Local Cancer Society Branch Pleased With Move

The Canadian Cancer Society Northwest Branch is applauding the provincial government for banning the use of tanning beds for anyone 18 and under.
Manager Maria Cabral says they have been pushing for the move since 2005.
Cabral notes there is no safe tan but it’s a fact that indoor tanning causes skin cancer.
Cabral says the next step is prevention and education on the dangers of tanning beds.
