The Black Sheep Mountain Bike Club is looking to protect an
11-kilometre trail starting at Johnson’s Beach in Dryden.
The forest management team and area forester have approved a harvest in
the area and a good portion of the trail is scheduled to be cut out.
Club Spokeperson Stephen Semeniuk says both parties have expressed an interest in protecting the path.
Semeniuk says preserving the scenic recreational trail is critical to ensure continued growth.
The 28-member group is facing considerable expansion next season including
the possibility of hosting a Provincially sanctioned race.
