The Liberals are hoping to have a candidate in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding in place before the end of the month.
Anthony Leek is the local riding president and says they have been actively seeking someone to carry the party banner.
He says their goal is to have someone in place before the election writ is dropped in early May.
Leek has been the party candidate in each of the last two provincial elections and has indicated he doesn’t intend to run again.
