LHIN Gathing Input On Local Health Changes

There has been plenty of feedback on what is needed to improve the delivery of health care in this region.

The North West Local Health Integration Network continues to hold community consultations, with a session in Dryden Monday night.

Director of Communication and Engagement Petronilla Ndebele says the LHIN is asking the central question, “what should health care in the future provide you and your community”.

Issues raised include the distance local patients have to travel for care, increased access to mental health and addiction services and long-term care support.

Ndebele says home and community care is also a priority for residents.

She says the LHIN is still looking for more feedback.
