Kenora-Rainy River M-P Bob Nault is confident the federal government will have some sort of customs service available at the Dryden Airport and other regional airports this summer.
The Can-Pass service, which had been in operation for several years was removed following the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Nault says he plans to speak with the new revenue minister about the issue and hopes to have an answer before the start of the tourism season.
Dryden Airport Manager George Friesen says although he would welcome the system back, the facility cant foot the bill on their own.
