Local MP Not Confirming FedNor Applications Down

FedNor Minister Greg Rickord is not confirming or refuting a specific conversation with Thunder-Bay Atikokan MP John Rafferty about FedNor funding.
Rafferty is reporting that applications to the regional economic development agency are down.
Rickford says the agency understands the challenges facing local communities.
The Kenora MP says local communities are bouncing back and coming to FedNor for support.
Rickford is encouraging Rafferty to vote in favour of on-going FedNor funding when the issue comes up in the House of Commons, something Rickford says hasn’t been done since he’s been in Ottawa.
