Local MPP Calling for Resignation of Smitherman

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says Health Minister George
Smitherman should resign because he turns serious matters into a
“three-ring circus.”
Smitherman is under fire over comments he made that he would consider
wearing an adult diaper, the kind worn by some seniors in nursing homes.
The underlying issue is improving care in nursing homes, and Hampton
suggests Smitherman doesn’t take the issue seriously.
the ndp leader says he doesn’t know how the public can have any
confidence in the health minister and that he should resign.
