Local MPP Hoping For Policing Solution

The MPP for Kenora-Rainy River is pleased the new board of Treaty 3 Police is committed to keeping the service alive.
Sarah Campbell says she’s hopeful the provincial and federal governments understand the importance of the police service and provide the appropriate funding.
Campbell says the service is essential to First Nations communities.
She says it’s hard to imagine not having the police service, adding that there’s not enough Provincial Police officers to fill in the gap.
The new police services board says it plans to meet more frequently with the expectation of coming to a resolution that officers and the union can agree on.
