Local MPP Reacts To Provincial Budget

The Provincial budget is getting some mixed reactions from Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell.
Campbell says while it meets all of the NDP’s original demands, it seems the Liberals are still throwing around money, especially with home care.
She says the Liberal’s are fine with spending five times the amount the NDP suggested for home care, but there is still no commitment to service.
Campbell notes the budget talks about a general direction, but there’s a lack of target and guarantees, especially with the auto insurance.
She adds that there wasn’t much mention of the Ring of Fire and mining opportunities in Northwestern Ontario.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says she’s not ready to decide yet if her party will vote for the budget to keep the Liberals in power.
