The provincial government is being taken to task for doing little to address the deaths of a number of aboriginal students in the Thunder Bay area.
Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell says the death toll continues to mount, while nothing is being done.
Campbell says three more people have been added to the list and is concerned the government isn’t doing enough for aboriginal people who have to travel for schooling or health care.
Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation Minister Charles Zimmer says the province is working with the federal government to ensure aboriginal students have to go away to school are safe and receive
culturally appropriate education.
