The Municipality of Sioux Lookout believes they have the necessary partners in place to move ahead with a truck-to-rail storage and transfer facility that would facilitate the Ring of Fire.
Mayor Doug Lawrance says they still have their eye on a specific Integrated Transportation System moving east-to-west.
Lawrance notes they have great support for the proposed Trans-load facility from a number of communities and businesses including Morgan Fuels.
Pickle Lake, CN Rail, Sault Ste. Marie, First Nations and the First Mining Finance Corporation are also involved in the project.
Noront Resources provided an update on the proposed facility on Friday.
