Dryden’s Grant Valliquette scored a first period goal and provided a fiesty spark with a couple of penalties in Portage’s 7-2 win over the Soo Thunderbirds Tuesday at the Royal Bank Cup.
Portage is now 2-1 and is in a three way tie with Carlton Place and Penticton.
The Dudley Hewitt Cup champion Thunderbirds are still looking for their first win.
