A proposed bill by a Liberal MPP is looking to have Ontario residents pay before they pump.
Mike Colle says a pay first policy would help fight against those who gas up and then drive off.
This decision comes after an incident in Toronto, where a gas station attendant was killed last Saturday after being hit by a vehicle in a gas-and-dash.
Owner of Tony’s Bait and Tackle and Fas Gas Agent Tony Traini thinks having a pay-before-pump rule is a good idea.
“In general it’s probably the safest and surest way to protect those working at the station from loss or injury.”
Fast Gas, which is located in Dryden, is a full-serve gas bar, and Traini says there hasn’t been a “gas and dash” incident at the location.
