New Rules In SIJHL

Some new rules in the Superior International Junior Hockey League this season.
The league is adopting certain NHL rules, including a 2-minute minor for shooting the puck over the glass.
Teams will still not be able to change on icings and faceoffs on penalties will be held in the offending teams zone.
There will be no more warnings of mouth guards and not wearing one properly will cost you 10-minutes.
There’s also zero tolerance on hits to the head and contact from behind.
As well if a goalie takes one step outside his crease during an obvious icing, the icing violation will be washed out.
