The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada Conference begins Monday.
There is a heavy presence of municipal, mining and other industry officials from this region at the gathering.
Topics of discussion will include the importance of an East-West transportation corridor, energy concerns and the number of mining opportunities currently available in the north.
PDAC is the world’s leading convention for people, companies and organizations involved or connected with mineral exploration and finance.
Minister of Northern Development and Mines Bill Mauro will formally open the Ontario Pavilion at 1:00pm.
