Local School Board Looking At At-Risk Students

The Keewatin-Patricia District School says its working on a number of issues to try and improve student success.
One of the issues identified by the public school board is the number of students who transfer to different schools through out their high school career.
Scott Urquart feels student mobility really puts them in an at-risk category.
He says in areas of attendance and engagement, it’s certainly safe to say that there’s a significant risk in those cases and it’s harder for those kids to connect with a member of staff or a member of authority.
The Student Success Report looks at improving instruction, supporting students at
risk, and improved programming.
