Local School Busses Hold New Safety Drill

A new initiative for the Northwest Student Services Consortium.
Manager Judi Green says they will be conducting an “enroute bus evacuation drill” in Dryden and Vermilion Bay Wednesday morning.
She says after the last pick up but before the first school, school bus drivers will pull over and park in designated zones and go over the emergency procedures with students.
Motorists are asked not to offer assistance as the bus driver has been trained to handle the evacuation.
The drills will be done in Ignace, Sioux Lookout, Ear Falls, Red Lake and Pickle Lake on October 18th.
