Flu Shot Clinics Coming To A Community Near You

It’s almost that time of year again.
The Northwestern Health Unit is reminding folks about the importance of getting your flu shot.
Public Health Nurse Shannon Brown says clinics will start October 21st and run until November 22nd.
Each community will have a list of times and dates of when appointments are available, but Brown says people can also call the flu hotline to find out more information.
The number is 1-866-4682240.

Meantime, Brown says there are people who are at a more high risk of getting the flu.
They include seniors, children under 5-years-old, health workers and those with an immune deficiency or other illness.
However, babies under 6-months-old cannot get the shot, so Brown says it’s important for people around babies to get it too.
