Dryden’s Walk for Alzeimers was this past weekend at the Harry McMaster Field Track.
The walks take place all over Canada in support of raising funds and awareness for Alzeimers disease and other dementias.
Abbie Siroishka, Fundevelopment Coordinator with Alzeimers Society for Kenora-Rainy River District says all the funds stay local.
Some of the local initiatives include Touch Quilts and the Music Project.
Siroishka also notes their next fundraiser is this August, Ride for Memories-the annual Motorcycle ride across the region.
All donations are put towards programs and services offered to those with Alzeimers or dementia and their caregivers.
