The Ontario Provincial Police say property theft
continues to plague the entire Rainy River District.
Police are reminding the public that they can prevent
this crime by simply locking up your valuables.
Over the winter, OPP officers have investigated numerous
thefts from garages left open.
Most of the break-ins happened over night.
Last month, a suspect walked into a residence while the
homeowners were still inside.
Police are urging resident to take the time to
secure your property, close and lock garage doors and
ensure exterior lights are operating properly.
