Provincial police say a suspect firearm that put four Kenora schools on lockdown yesterday, was a pistol-type pellet gun.
Beaver Brae and St. Thomas Aquinas high schools, as well as the town’s elementary schools, went into lockdown during the lunch hour on Friday, after a man was spotted with what was believed to be a gun.
The lockdowns were lifted just after five, with officers locating the suspect and the weapon in question.
