Curlers from across the region are in Sioux Lookout this weekend to raise money for a good cause.
It’s the 5th Annual Bearskin Airlines Skip to Equip Classic.
Organizer Muriel Anderson says proceeds from the event go towards the Meno-Ya-Win Health Services Foundation to support long-term care.
Anderson says they currently have 20-beds that are available to the region and that’s not adequate as they serve the entire region.
She notes the target is establishing a 96-bed facility.
There’s plenty of activity Saturday with several auctions, great curling and a social.
The public is encouraged to stop by the Golf and Curling Club sometime over the next two days.
