Locum Support Program Continued

The Board of Directors at the Dryden Regional Health Centre have extended the locum support program to the end of September.
The plan provides a subsidy to support the payment of any visiting physician working at the Dingwall Clinic, which has now been taken over by the Hospital.
With the Health Centre having little success in recruiting doctors, Officials have turned to the Province for help.
A letter has been sent to the Ministry of Health asking it to look at alternative locum payment plans to help the Hospital remain competitive.
