Long Term Care Association Calling For More Money

The needs of residents in long-term care facilities are increasing.

That’s one of the findings from the Ontario Long Term Care Association in its annual report.

It says over 40% of residents now need regular monitoring for an acute medical condition, while 62% of residents have Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia.

Chief Executive Officer Candace Charter says they’ve been lobbying for additional funding for years and the report shows why it’s needed.
