Long Time MPP Will Not Sit at Cabinet Table

Once again Northwestern Ontario will not have representation at the Cabinet table.
Premier Dalton McGuinty has named Sudbury’s Rick Bartolucci as the new Minister of Northern Development and Mines.
Thunder Bay-Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle was considered the odds on favorite for the position.
Gravelle admits he is disappointed but says he understands its not an easy decision for the Premier.
Gravelle will be keeping busy as the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour and the Chair of the Cabinet Committee on Health and Social Services.
He expects the Legislature to be recalled sometime next month.
Meantime, Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro has been named the Parliamentary Secretary for Bartolucci.
