A Longlac resident has been fined $2,000 for careless hunting.
Arlene Aird plead guilty to shooting a deer on Twin Bay Road in Nestor Falls.
Aird is not allowed to hunt in Ontario for one year and must successfully complete the Ontario Hunter Education Course before being allowed to hunt in the province again.
The deer was seized and the meat was donated to charity.
Aird’s firearm was also seized.
