Lost Tourism

The Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters is lobbying the provincial government for disaster relief money for resort owners in Northwestern Ontario hit hard by last week’s storms.
Doug Reynolds, Executive Director of NOTO says resort owners in the area lost thousands of dollars because their guests could not get passed washed out roads to their vacation destination.
Reynolds says this occurance is becoming a common practise.
Reynolds is planning to meet with various provincial ministers about some sort of emergency funding for tourist camp operators in the region.
