Lottery Rules Changing

A change in policy for the City of Dryden.
Council has passed a resolution calling on licensing officers to grant approval to lottery licensed organizations outside municipal boundaries to sell lottery tickets within City limits.
Its been practice in the past to support local groups and not allow the sale of outside tickets, unless it has a direct benefit to Dryden residents.
However, Council asked staff to revisit the policy after receiving a request from the Ignace Youth Bowling League to sell tickets locally.
The request would have been denied under the old rules.
