Lakehead University Political Science professor Laure Paquette believes there’s cause for concern with the escalating situation in Syria.
Paquette believes Russian air attacks are only the beginning and she thinks ground troops will soon be moving in.
She notes the country isn’t targeting ISIS but is instead focusing on groups opposed to President Assad.
Paquette says the situation has the potential to become more difficult, complicated and dramatically worse.
She believes the move is being made to support its ally and to flex some political muscle.
