LU Professor Looks at Provincial Election

The Provincial election campaign officially kicks off Tuesday and Lakehead University Political Science Expert Laure Paquette is comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the party leaders.
Paquette says NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is performing like someone just out of the trade union movement.
She says Horwath is great in small groups but notes she’s not a great speaker and lacks charisma.
Paquette says Premier McGuinty is the strongest of the leaders but he is showing cracks.
She says he’s an accomplished debater but notes he’s starting to look tired and someone who has been in power for too long.
Paquette says PC Leader Tim Hudak is a rookie leader and at times it does show.
She says he has plenty of confidence but is prone to putting his foot in his mouth.
The Provincial election is October 6th.
