Former Conservative staffer Michael Sona has been found guilty for directing voters to the wrong polling stations during the federal election in 2011.
The Superior Court ruled at the end of last week that Sona was responsible for the infamous robocalls case three years ago.
Lakehead University Political Science professor Laure Paquette says it will be interesting to see what his sentence will be.
Paquette says the courts and Elections Canada will take this behaviour seriously and the debate will now go to what penalty Sona will receive.
She adds that this adds onto the controversy already surrounding the federal PC’s.
