No one could be more happier with the new OPP billing costing method put forward by the province than Atikokan.
The town now pays more than $1,000 per household to have the OPP patrol its streets.
Mayor Dennis Brown expects a drop even with the costs associated each time police are called.
Atikokan now pays around $1.5 million for the OPP to police the community of about 2,800.
