LU Professor Understands McGuinty’s Decision

Dalton McGuinty’s absence from the Northern Ontario Leaders debate makes sense.

He says there wasn’t much to gain by coming.
Di Matteo says the potential of a major gaffe could have cost McGuinty far more than the 3-Northwestern Ontario seats.
He adds he is surprised that McGuinty didn’t make the point that today’s debate wasn’t open to the public and came with a $90 price tag to attend.
